The LA 2028 Job Market Is Opening. Is Your Business Operationally Ready?

Last week I sat in on a networking event hosted by the Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD), a South LA nonprofit that's spent two decades building workforce development, housing support, and small business programs from the ground up. One thread stood out for anyone running a business in this region right now: the LA 2028 job market is starting to open, with real opportunity for local businesses over the next year.

That kind of moment rewards businesses that can already answer basic operational questions cleanly — not the ones scrambling to get their systems in order after an opportunity lands. Can you actually track an inquiry from first contact to signed contract? Does your CRM reflect reality, or does it need a phone call to confirm? Can you produce clean numbers on short notice?

That's the same infrastructure work I do with clients regardless of what's driving demand — but LA 2028 puts a real, dated urgency on it. If your business is even considering positioning for this window, the next few months are the time to shore up the operational foundation, not after the opportunity is already in front of you.

If you're weighing whether your systems could hold up under that kind of scrutiny, that's worth a conversation now, while there's still runway.
